Bookings are flying in for GrootGroenPlus
BOSKOOP, the Netherlands, May 18, 2013: Interest for participation in GrootGroenPlus is big. More than 200 participants already registered for the trade exhibition, which will be held from October 2-4, 2013.
According to the organisers there is a remarkable number of new exhibitors. The number of foreign companies has also exceeded numbers from the previous years, with enterprises registering from Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and the UK. This shows that people have confidence in the innovations that have been implemented already and are yet to be implemented this year.
Among the registrants are multiple collectives, of which Treeport (Zundert) is the largest one. It takes part with a large selection of members and will also have its own display stand. In the months prior to the trade fair, GrootGroenPlus and Treeport are working extensively together, to find ways to strengthen each other. This year, Treeport will offer its own guided tours during the trade fair. This is a first and will be done in cooperation with GrootGroenPlus. The partnership with trade fair Florall from Gent (BE) will also be continued and broadened in the next three years.
The new organisation is strongly committed to additional efforts and investments regarding PR, in order to put the trade fair firmly on the map, both on a national and an international level. All-Round Communications is once again part of the newly formed PR team and will join forces with Het Groenbureau. On Thursday, the highly acclaimed press tour will take place. This tour, organised for international press, has now become a core value of the trade fair.
Another strong aspect of this 23rd edition is its focus on progress and innovation. In cooperation with the sponsor, a trade fair app will be developed. This sponsor will also make Wi-Fi available during GrootGroenPlus. Another interesting aspect of this year's edition is the reporter method which will be introduced by publisher BDU. In addition to this, GrootGroenPlus will offer more professional information during the trade fair and its many activities. By doing this, the trade fair aims to stimulate sharing knowledge, in order to give more meaning to the theme 'Green Unlimited'.
Another new item that will make the trade for even more attractive to both participants and visitors, is a series of special days for specific target groups. During these days, specific target groups can participate in special activities. These days may for example focus on gardeners, public green or retail.

Kenya counts down to opening 2013 Iftex show
NAIROBI, Kenya, May 10, 2013: The official launch of the international flower trade expo IFTEX, which will be held in Kenya from June 5-7, took place last month in the Jacaranda hotel in Westlands Nairobi. Horticultural Crops development Authority MD Alfred Serem, Kenya Flower Council CEO Jane Ngige and HPP Exhibitions President Dick van Raamsdonk briefed the press on this year’s second edition of IFTEX.
In just 2 years time Kenya’s flower industry managed to build up a major flower trade fair and giving it even a regional fucntion by adding as well neighbouring flower producing farms from countries such as Uganda and Ethiopia. By doing so the fair is rapidly managing to position itself as a prime sourcing place, where buyers from all over the world can see and buy flowers, speak face to face with its growers and visit the farms where the flower are actually being produced. This switch to actively promoting Kenyan flowers exports, the industry has put itself to the next level; from being a conservative flower producer selling through fixed channels, to becoming a progressive flower producer exporting to numerous importers from all over the world.
This year’s second edition of the trade fair will already be able to offer a complete overview of the current status of Kenyan flowers available for exports, since almost all, if not all, flower farms will be present. The ideal opportunity for any international flower buyer to attend this June and source any Kenyan flowers needed for 2014 and even for the remainder of 2013. Being able to see, talk & buy in one place in just 3 days is really unique and never shown before in Kenya’s floricultural history. And this is precisely the strenght, importance and goal of this international targeted flower trade fair!
